Become a Tool Library Steward!

Your monthly donation can help sustain our work in the community.

If there’s anything we’ve learned through our work at The Tool Library, it’s the power of collective action and the impact that small acts can have on shaping our world. As a small nonprofit (e.g. two part-time employees and a butt load of super rad and super dedicated volunteers), monthly gifts provide us with a stable source of funding that makes it easier for us to focus on our mission and less on fundraising.

Help us continue to share the tools our neighborhoods need, steward the spaces we share, and repair the things we own by becoming a monthly donor. No monthly gift is too small or big!

Service Days are best when shared! Download our event flyer and share with your friends, family, and neighbors.

Join The Tool Library and our community partners for service events across the University and Masten Districts this fall!

“Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”

We believe that a strong community is a civically engaged community. We put our tools to work improving the places we share through large-scale community projects such as neighborhood clean-ups, tree-plantings, community gardens, and public art installations. Each year we help organize and facilitate more than a dozen community service events in partnership with block clubs, community groups, and neighborhood organizations.

We’re excited to announce our Fall 2023 line-up of events! Most events take place on Saturday mornings and last no longer than three hours. Please plan to bring your cellphone, as volunteers will need to sign a digital waiver before participating in each event.

Be sure to check our Facebook page and website often, as new events are likely to be added!

If you plan to attend an event please RSVP by using the form below. Note: if you are attending with a group or organizations, each person will need to register individually.
