Need a tool for a few days, not a lifetime? Become a member of The Tool Library and get access to a huge collection of tools for a small annual fee.
Borrowing works just like a regular library — except members borrow tools. Stop into our shop, located at 2626 Main Street, grab what you need for your next DIY project, use the tools for a week, bring ’em back, and start the whole process over again!
Thousands of tools — from power drills and pressure washers to shovels and saws, and even canopy tents and party supplies — are available to our members with no additional rental fees, although we do encourage punctuality with a $1/day fee for any tools returned late 😉. In addition, our members have access to a small selection of premium Super Tools for a daily rental fee of $20.
Membership is open to individuals, businesses, and organizations at three different levels:

- Wheelbarrow

Great for your basic DIYer looking to tackle projects around the home or garden.
- Borrow up to 5 tools at a time
- One user

TOOL BOX
Great for a more advanced remodeler or someone looking to organize an event in their neighborhood.
- Borrow up to 25 tools at a time
- One user
$75/year
WHEELBARROW
Great for a block club, neighborhood organization, or business looking to host a large service event.
- Borrow up to 50 tools at a time
- Two users
$150/year
Membership Scholarship
We believe a membership to The Tool Library should be accessible to anyone who wants one, regardless of their ability to afford one. Thanks to a generous gift from the Paul & Dorothy Borenstein Memorial Foundation, we have rolled out the Paul Borenstein Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide free memberships to our neighbors.
