Walk-in Tool Borrowing is Back at The Tool Library!

Dear Tooligan Friends & Family,
We want to thank you so much for your support, patience, and feedback during the rollout of our contactless Tool Library To-Go service. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, members, and supporters for helping us navigate the pandemic and continue to serve and support the WNY community through shared tools and resources. Through our contactless service, we signed up 82 new members, loaned out 528 tools, and saved our members more than $37,000.

As of Thursday, June 11th, The Tool Library will no longer be utilizing a reservation system. We will be shifting to limited walk-in service. We will limit the number of people in the shop to one at a time and ask that all members wear masks when picking up or returing tools and maintain a 6ft separation between themselves and other individuals. We will continue to maintain a wait list for high-demand tools.

We hope we can continue to provide you a valuable service during these especially difficult times, while keeping the health and safety of all Tool Library members, volunteers, and the broader community as the top priority.

Please refer to the information on our “Borrowing from The Tool Library” page for updated borrowing procedures and general guidelines.

We appreciate your continued feedback as we work to create the safest, most efficient way to serve our members as an all-volunteer organization. Please consider taking our survey below to make sure our priorities and planning are keeping up with our membership.
