Congrats to the University District Community Development Association (UDCDA) and artist Nicholas Conrad Miller for being selected as the “DEC Program of the Year” as part of the Arts Services Initiative of WNY’s 4th Annual Spark Awards.

The award follows a $2,000 grant that the UDCDA and Miller we able to secure from ASIWNY to support a large scale mural at the corner of Bailey and Stockbridge Avenues as part of Bailey Fights Blight. Working with community members, business owners, volunteers, and the Stockbridge Avenue Block Club, the design for the mural was meant to embody the Block Club’s motto of “Stocks are rising”. From a blighted and broken down building to a vibrant public space, stocks are definitely rising on Bailey Avenue!
