Need a tool for a few days, not a lifetime? Become a member of the Tool Library and get access to a huge collection of tools for a small annual fee.

Borrowing works just like a regular library – except members borrow tools (we’ve got a few books too.) Stop into our shop located at 2626 Main Street, grab what you need for your next DIY project, use the tools for a week, bring ’em back, and start the whole process over again!

Thousands of tools — from power drills and pressure washers to shovels and saws — are available to our members with no additional rental fees, although we do encourage punctuality with a $1/day fee for any tools returned late 😉 In addition, our members have access to a small selection of premium Super Tools for a daily rental fee of $20.

Membership is open to individuals, businesses, and organizations at three different levels:

We believe a Tool Library membership should be accessible to anyone who wants one, regardless of their ability to afford one. Thanks to a generous gift from the Paul & Dorothy Borenstein Memorial Foundation, The Tool Library has rolled out the Paul Borenstein Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide free memberships to our neighbors.
